Easy Fish Recipes
Some easy fish recipes, preparation and cooking tips.
· When de-boning a fillet an easy trick is to lightly run a vegetable peeler over the fillet allowing the tiny bones to catch between the blades. Then, give a slight twist and the bones come out.
· Add 5 minutes to the total cooking time if the fish is being baked in a sauce or if wrapped in foil for your easy fish recipes.
· Grilling fish should be done over direct heat for 7-9 minutes per inch of thickness of the fillet.
· Darker flesh fish are usually higher in fat than light colored fish flesh.
· When baking low fat fish, wrapping it in aluminum foil helps retain the moisture.

Baked Salmon Easy Fish Recipe
- 2 salmon fillets - aluminum foil
- 1 lemon - 4 tbsp teriyaki sauce
- 2 garlic cloves - salt and pepper
Preheat oven to 400 F. Place 1 salmon fillet on a piece of aluminum foil, squeeze lemon juice onto fillet, spread 1 minced garlic clove over the fillet, pour on 2 tbsp of teriyaki sauce, sprinkle salt and pepper over fillet. Fold over and roll the aluminum foil around the fillet so that all the edges are folded on the top and no juices will be able to fall out of aluminum foil bottom. Bake fillet in aluminum foil for 30 – 40 minutes, then check. The salmon will be very tasty in the easy fish recipe as all of the juices are trapped in while baking. Bake Halibut Easy Fish Recipe
- 4 halibut fillets (small bones removed) - ¼ cup sweet pickle relish
- 2 tbsp light mayonnaise - 2 tbsp parmesan cheese grated
- 1 tsp horseradish - ¼ cup cornflake crumbs
- ¼ cups fine dry bread crumbs - ½ tsp dried dill weed
Preheat oven to 400 F. Arrange fillets in a single layer in a shallow greased baking dish. In a small bowl, combine relish, mayonnaise, grated cheese and horseradish. Then spread mixture over the fillets. In a separate bowl mix the dill weed, bread and cornflake crumbs. Sprinkle over the fillets and bake for approximately 15 minutes until fish flakes easily when tested with fork. This easy fish recipe serves 4.
