Servings:4 people


Green chilies-2
Curd-4 tbs
Salt to taste
Oil for frying

For grinding:

Coconut-1/2 cup
Green chilies-3
Mustard seeds-1/2 tsp

For tempering:

Coconut Oil-3 tbs
Mustard seeds-1 tsp
Red chilies-3
Few curry leaves

Method Of Preparation
  • Grind together Coconut,green chilies and mustard seeds into a smooth paste by adding little water in it
  • Wash the vendakka and pat dry them.Cut them into thin round slices
  • Heat oil in a pan.Add vendakka/okra, green chilies and salt in it.Fry till vendakka turns brown in color.
  • Now add the grounded coconut paste in it and mix well then bring that to a boil
  • Once it boils.switch off the flame . Now let it cool for 10 mins
  • Add curd and mix well
  • Now make tempering and then add the tempering over the pachadi and mix well
  • Tasty vendakka/okra pachadi is ready to serve
