Manchurian is Indo-chinese dish extremely popular in india. You may be made manchurian with many vegetarian and nonvegetarian stuffs. I have already post the recipe of Gobi manchurian which is prepared with cauliflower. This manchurian I prepared only with cabbage. I used to prepare manchurian only with cauliflower but this time I thought to prepare manchurian with cabbage. This manchurian was tastier than the manchurian I usually prepares with cauliflower. so i thought to share the recipe of cabbage manchurian with my readers. I am sure that you will love the taste of this manchurian more than the taste of any other manchurians . Please try this recipe and let me know how it turned out for you


For cabbage balls

Cabbage-1/2,finely chopped
Ginger garlic paste-1 tsp
Red chili powder-1/2 tsp
All purpose flour/Maida-1/2 cup
Corn flour-1/2 cup
Salt to taste
Water-1/4 cup or as needed
Oil for deep frying


For sauce

Oil-3 tbs
Onion-1,finely chopped
Ginger garlic paste-1 tbs
Capsicum-1,finely chopped
Red chili powder-1 tsp
Soy sauce-1 1/2 tbs
Chili sauce-1/2 tbs
Tomato ketchup-2 tbs
Water-3 tbs
Spring onion-2 tbs,finely chopped


Method Of Preparation
  • Take a bowl, mix all the ingredients for cabbage balls and make a thick paste
  • Make small round ball shapes from the mix
  • Heat oil in a pan and deep fry the cabbage balls till they turn into golden brown in color.Drain the excees oil in tissue paper and set aside
  • Next we can make sauce. Heat oil in a pan. Add onion and capsicum. Add some salt.Cook it till onion gets golden brown color
  • Add in ginger garlic paste and cook for 2 minutes
  • Add soy sauce,chili sauce, tomato ketchup and redchili powder and saute well and cook for a minute till oil seperates
  • Once the gravy thickened add the fried cabbage balls and spring onions in it and mix well
  • Tasty Cabbage manchurian is ready to serve hot
