Today I am sharing here the recipe of a healthy dosa, which is prepared with quinoa, oats and lentils. The ingredients which are used for preparing this dosa are packed with proteins, iron and fiber. This dosa can be made instantly after grinding the batter without fermenting it. This dosa recipe is suitable for diabetic people. This dosa goes well with tomato chutney, I included the recipe of tomato chutney also in this post. Try this recipe and let me know, how it turned out for you. Quinoa-1 cup
Oats-1/2 cup
Urad dal-1/4 cup
Moong dal-1/4 cup
Green Chillies
Ginger-1 inch piece
Cumin seeds-1/2 tsp

Method Of Preparation
  • Wash quinoa, oats and lentils thoroughly
  • After washing, soak it in water for 2 hours
  • After 2 hours transfer it to a blender, then add green chillies, ginger and cumin into it and grind everything into a smooth batter
  • Adjust the consistency of the batter by adding water into it
  • Add salt into the batter and mix well
  • Heat a tawa
  • Spread the batter on tawa
  • When dosa turns slightly brown in color, flip dosa carefully and cook on the other side
  • Now Dosa is ready to serve hot with Tomato chutney

Tomato Chutney


Tomato-1 large
Urad Dal- 1/2 tsp
Cumin seeds-1/2 tsp
Mustard seeds-1/2 tsp
Curry leaves-few
Asafoetida- a pinch
Turmeric powder-1/4 tsp
Salt to taste

Method Of Preparation
  • Heat oil in a pan
  • Add urad dal, cumin seeds and mustard seeds into it
  • Saute till the dal changes color
  • Then add curry leaves, green chilies, asafoetida, tomato, salt and turmeric powder into it
  • Mix well and cook for 10 minutes
  • Once tomato is cooked well, turn off the flame and allow it to cool
  • Then transfer it into a blender and grind it
  • Now tomato chutney is ready to serve with dosa
