Ingredients

For Coconut Paste:

Grated Coconut-1/2 cup
Green chilies-1
Mustard seeds-3/4 tsp
Cumin seeds-1/2 tsp
Ginger-1 inch


Other Ingredients

Beetroot-2 cup(Grated)
Salt-1 tsp
Water-3/4 cup
Salt to taste
Curd-1/2 cup


For tempering:

Coconut Oil-3 tbs
Mustard seeds-1 tsp
Red chilies-3
Few curry leaves


Method Of Preparation


  • Grind together Coconut,green chilies and mustard seeds, cumin seeds and ginger into a smooth paste by adding little water in it
  • Cook the grated beetroot till it becomes soft by adding salt and water in it
  • Once the beetroot is cooked well, add the grounded coconut paste in it and mix well then bring that to a boil
  • Once it boils.switch off the flame . Add curd in it and mix well
  • Now make tempering and then add the tempering over the pachadi and mix well
  • Tasty Beetroot pachadi is ready to serve
