Madhura Pachadi is a side dish often served for sadhya in kerala. This Pachadi is different from other pachadis,We are preparing this pachadi with fruits so it has a sweet taste. I am sure that you will love the taste of this Pachadi. Try this recipe and let me know how it turned out for you.


Pineapple-1 cup(Cut into small pieces)
Ripe banana(Eathapazham),cut into small pieces-1 cup
Black grapes-10
Turmeric Powder-1/4 tsp
Red chili Powder-1/4 tsp
Sugar-1 tsp

For grinding:

Grated Coconut-1/2 cup
Green chilies-2
Mustard seeds-1/4 tsp

For tempering:

Coconut oil-2 tbs
Mustard seeds-1/2 tsp
Red chilies-4
Curry leaves-few

Method Of Preparation
  • In a pan cook pineapple by adding redchili powder,turmeric powder,salt and water in it
  • When it is half cooked add the chopped bananas and grapes in it .Close the lid and cook it until it becomes soft and tender 
  • Grind the coconut by adding green chilies and mustard seeds in it
  • Pour this grounded coconut into the cooked fruits and then add sugar into it and mix well
  • Allow it to boil
  • When it starts to boil add the yogurt and sugar in it and mix well
  • Finally do the tempering and add this to the curry
  • Tasty Madhura Pachadi is ready to serve as a side dish for rice
