Wheat Bread Recipe | Whole Wheat Bread | Atta Bread with Video Recipe. Today I am sharing here with you the recipe of a Home made bread prepared with whole wheat. Traditionally bread are prepared with plain flour or maida, but this bread is prepared with whole wheat. Whole wheat flour is considered better for our health than plain flour or maida, so this bread will be healthier than the traditional bread prepared with plain flour or maida. Traditionally bread are baked in conventional oven, but in this recipe I am trying to bake bread in a heavy bottomed pan, it came out well for me, so you can try this recipe even if you don't have oven with you for making bread. You can prepare this bread easily with very less ingredients. This bread recipe requires only wheat, yeast, sugar, salt, milk or water. The only difficult part in preparing this bread is kneading. You should knead the dough until you get a super soft-non sticky dough. Before baking you need to brush the dough with cold milk for getting golden brown color. You should wrap the bread in wet cloth for 2 hours and let it cool completely before cutting the bread into slices. I am sure that you will get a super soft wheat bread, if you follow this recipe. Ingredients

Warm milk-1 cup 
Dry Yeast-1/2 tbs 
Sugar-2 tbs 
Whole wheat flour-2 1/2 cup 
Salt-1 tsp 
Oil-4 tbs

Method Of Preparation
  • In a bowl take warm milk. Add dry yeast and sugar into it. Mix it well
  • Rest it for 5 minutes. Yeast activated after 5 minutes
  • Add wheat flour, salt and oil into it. Mix it well and knead it well with your hand
  • Add water as required and knead it to a soft dough. Now dough will be slightly sticky
  • Sprinkle some wheat flour on the rolling board. Knead it for 5 minutes or until you get a soft and non-sticky dough
  • Grease a bowl with oil.
  • Tuck the dough inside
  • Put the dough in oil greased bowl
  • Brush oil on the dough
  • Close it with a lid and rest it for 1 hour in warm place
  • After about 1 hour the dough doubles
  • Knead it again for 2 minutes
  • Flatten it. Roll it and seal it
  • Flatten it again
  • Flatten it with a rolling pin
  • Roll it 
  • Seal the ends
  • Grease a loaf pan with oil
  • Place the Dough in the oil greased loaf pan
  • Cover it & Rest it for 30 minutes
  • Dough rises after 30 minutes
  • Brush some cold milk
  • Take a heavy bottomed pan
  • Add salt in it
  • Level it
  • Place a rack inside it
  • Close it with a lid
  • Pre-heat the pan for 10 mins on medium flame
  • After 10mins, place the loaf pan inside the pre-heated pan
  • Cover it with a lid & Cook it on low flame for 45-50 minutes
  • After 45 minutes, wheat bread is ready
  • Takeout the bread loaf pan from the pan
  • Brush some butter on top of the bread
  • Take out the bread from the bread loaf pan
  • Cover it with a damp cloth for 2 hours & Let it cool completely
  • After 2 hours, bread became super soft
  • Bread is now ready to cut into slices
