Ingredients
Rava-1 cup
Curd-1/2 cup
Cumin Seeds/Jeera-1/2 tsp
Mustard Seeds-1/2 tsp
Green chilli-1 (Chopped)
Curry leaves
Ginger-1/2 tbs (Chopped)
Garlic-3 cloves (Chopped)
Onion-2 (Chopped)
Turmeric Powder-1/4 tsp
Coriander Powder-1/2 tsp
Redchilli Powder-1/2 tsp
Boiled Potatoes-3
Baking Soda-1/2 tsp
Oil
Salt
Method Of Preparation
- In a bowl take rava. Add curd into it and mix well. Add 1/2 cup water into it. Mix it well and make a smooth batter. Close it with a lid and rest it for 20 minutes.
- Heat 1tbs oil in a pan. Add jeera, mustard seeds, curry leaves, green chilli, ginger and garlic into it.
- Saute it until it turns light brown in color.
- Add onion and salt into it. Saute it until onion turns translucent.
- Add turmeric powder, coriander powder and redchilli powder into it.
- Saute it until raw smell of powders goes off.
- Add 3 boiled potatoes into it.
- Mix it well
- Gently mash the potatoes with the spatula.
- Potato Masala is now ready
- After 20 minutes check the sooji batter.
- Add baking soda and salt into it.
- Add water as required and mix it well
- Make a semi thick batter. (Idli/dosa batter like consistency).
- Add 1tbs oil on tawa.
- Pour a ladleful of batter on tawa & Spread it.
- Add potato masala in the center
- Cover it with the batter.
- Close it with a lid and cook it for 2 minutes
- After 2 minutes, flip it
- Add little oil.
- Close it with a lid and cook the other side also for 2 minutes.
- No bread sandwich is now ready to Serve
