As I am giving more importance for healthy cooking I included this nutritious Ragi / Millet/Nachni in my breakfast as dosa because it has many health benefits.They have good amount of calcium,iron and minerals so it is good for kid's health. Ragi is a preferred food for diabetic patients as it helps to balance the insulin levels in their body.This dosa  recipe is very easy to prepare as it doesn't require any soaking,grinding and fermentation process.

Preparation Time:5 minute
Cooking Time:10 minute
Servings:10 Dosas

Ragi/Millet flour-1 cup
Wheat flour-1/4 cup
Yogurt/Curd-1/4 cup
Water -1 cup
Salt to taste
Baking soda-1/2 tsp

Method Of Preparation
  • Take ragi flour,wheat flour and curd in a bowl
  • Add water and salt in it and mix well
  • The batter should be lump free and smooth.It should be of medium consistency not too thick or thin
  • Add baking soda at last and mix again
  • Heat a non-stick pan and spread some oil over it
  • Pour the dosa batter on pan and slowly spread it in circular motion (see tips)
  • Sprinkle oil around the edges of the dosa.
  • Cook until color of the top surface changes to brown 
  • Cook on both sides
  • Serve the ragi dosa hot with chutney
  • Pan should be hot enough before pouring the batter over it.To check this sprinkle few drops of  water on it,if the water evaporates the pan is ready to pour batter
  • You should use non-stick pan for this.If you are using normal pan then the batter will stick on the surface 
  • Batter should not be as thick as normal dosa batter.It should be of medium consistency
