Ingredients
Raw rice-1 cup
Coconut milk-2 cup
Grated Coconut-1/2 cup
Cumin seeds-1 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
For the Jaggery Syrup
Jaggery-1/2 cup
Water-1 cup
Cumin seeds-1/2 tsp
Method Of Preparation
- Soak the rice for 1 hour.
- Wash the rice and set it aside
- Cook the rice in the coconut milk with salt.Once the rice is cooked well add the grated coconut and cumin seeds in it.(It should be thick)
- Spread it in a plate and allow it to cool.Then cut with a knife and get the desired shape
- Mix half cup of jaggery with 1 cup of water and bring it to a boil.Keep until the mixture becomes thin syrup
- Add cumin seeds in it and serve it on top of vishu katta
